Kelly and William met at the Capitol in Topeka, KS. After being friends for two years, William asked Kelly out at 2:30am on the front steps of the Capitol as the legislative session came to an end. They went on their first date in April in Kansas City and have been together ever since. In October, William proposed in the same place he had asked Kelly on their first date!
